Capturing the Cuddles
At Toes and Beans Photography, every pet is family - no matter their age, size or species. Whether you have a brand new puppy, a wise old cat, a playful rabbit, or a beloved rescue, we would be honoured to capture their unique spirit. We’re pet parents too, and we understand the special place pets hold in the lives of their families.
Pet sessions are all about fun and authenticity. We’ll work at your pet’s pace, creating a relaxed environment where their true personality can shine. Sessions can take place at your home, your favourite dog park, or at our beautiful outdoor studio - whichever setting feels best for you and your pet.
Whether your companion is young, old, furry, feathered, or scaly - we can’t wait to meet them and capture memories you’ll treasure forever.
Tips for a Successful Pet Session:
Choose a familiar spot - Pets are happiest where they feel safe! At home or in our relaxed outdoor space, your pet will have room to explore and play.
Bring their favourite treats or toys - Having familiar rewards on hand can help keep them engaged and bring out their joyful energy. Squeaky toys are important for getting the pet’s attention.
Keep it calm - Before the session, try to schedule a little playtime or a short walk to help burn off extra excitement.
Be patient (and flexible) - Some of the best moments come when we simply let your pet be themselves. There’s no rush, we follow their lead.
Celebrate all ages - From playful puppies to wise seniors, every stage of life is beautiful. We’ll create images that honour your pet’s unique journey.
What is a Mini Session?
A mini session with Toes and Beans Photography is a refined, boutique experience designed for pet parents who want beautiful, professional portraits without the time commitment of a full session. These are not quick, low‑effort snapshots — they are carefully crafted, luxury micro‑sessions featuring high‑end sets, seasonal styling, and the same artistic attention you expect from our full offerings. Mini sessions make it effortless to capture your pet throughout the year, especially during holidays when themes are playful, sentimental, and perfect for keepsakes or gifts. With their streamlined format and elevated presentation, mini sessions offer a convenient way to build a meaningful collection of portraits that celebrate your pet’s personality, milestones, and the joy they bring to every season.

Your pet’s safety is always the top priority. For outdoor or unfamiliar environments, we recommend using a slip lead, which we provide and later remove during editing so it never appears in the final images. This ensures pets stay secure without compromising the look of the photos. I also have training in dog body language and behaviour, allowing me to guide sessions calmly and confidently while keeping pets comfortable, supported, and stress‑free throughout the experience.
